New research shows extracts of cannabis, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) can help cure brain cancer when. In combination with radiotherapy
Specialists in St. George University of London tested mice with brain tumors by irradiation, no treatment, only extracts of cannabis and cannabis extracts and radiation as well. They found extracts of cannabis and irradiation are used in combination to be most effective.
"Those who deals with both radiation and cannabinoids have seen the most beneficial results and significantly reducing the size," Dr. Wai Liu, Senior Research Fellow and lead researcher on the project. "In some cases, tumors effectively disappeared into the animals. This bodes well for research on human beings in the future. For now it is a usually fatal disease. "
CBD and THC are naturally found in the cannabis plant. CBD oils were also used for epilepsy, anxiety, depression, headaches and nausea.
