Health officials warn of measles exposure at Philadelphia children's museum


Health authorities warn against people they have been exposed to measles at the Please Touch Museum and a CVS pharmacy in the city.
The exhibition took place at the CVS measles, 316 E. Lancaster Ave. Wayne 5.30 bis 20.00 clock Dec. 28 possible exposure in the museum pass of 3.30 bis 17.00 clock clock December 29th.

Health officials warned earlier that some groups are exposed to the virus are at risk of becoming infected as infants who are too young to have received the MMR vaccine are vaccinated 1963-1967, unvaccinated anyone can born after 1957 who were vaccinated only once, people who refused vaccination, and people in the regions where vaccination coverage is low.

Measles is highly contagious. Symptoms begin within 1-2 weeks with a runny nose, cough and high fever, and developed a distinctive red rash within four days. An infected person, the disease as soon as symptoms appear and up to four days after the rash disappears distributed.

The disease is spread by coughing and sneezing and the virus remain viable on surfaces for up to two hours.

The complications of measles are diarrhea, pnuemonia, brain inflammation and death. Pregnant women are false or premature birth layer.

Until 29 November, the CDC reports that there were 610 cases of measles in 24 states, reported more than triple the number in 2013 and 12 times the amount in 2012.

CDC says the disease usually occurs in the United States on foreign travelers and an epidemic can occur if the virus comes to low measles vaccination coverage area.
