'Boyhood,' 'Budapest,' 'Ida' hailed at the LA Film Critics Awards ceremony


LOS ANGELES, Jan. 11 (UPI) - Children of Richard Linklater was the big winner at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association awards and achieved the Best Film, Best Director, Best Editing and Best Actress Patricia Arquette.

 Co-star Ethan Hawke and Linklater Lorelai Coltrane Adolescence fit a family drama was filmed over 12 years.
 The winners were announced LAFCA last month, but prices have not been passed down ceremony Saturday night.

 Ida received the award for best foreign language film and best supporting actress for Agata Kulesza.

 Writer and director Wes Anderson won the trophy for best screenplay for The Grand Hotel Budapest, who also won the award for Best Production Design.

 The best actor award went to Tom Hardy Locke, while JK Simmons was named best supporting actor Whiplash.

 CITIZEN FOUR was best documentary, The Tale of Princess Kaguya recognized as best animated film applies.

 Actress Gena Rowlands was honored for his life's work, while the director Ava DuVernay Selma was presented with the New Generation Award and cinema critic Leonard Maltin with special reference group.
